Probably the biggest hoax was the Michael Brown situation in Ferguson. This man, known as the “gentle giant” was a giant thug but was portrayed by the left as simply walking home, stopped for no reason, and when he protested it, he was shot by Police Officer Darren Wilson. The short and factual version of the story is that minutes before he robbed a convenience store, roughed up the owner, and the owner called the police. Wilson responded, saw the described man walking down the street, pulled him over, and then Michael Brown attacked the police officer and tried to take his gun. The police officer acted completely appropriately.

The biggest hoax here was the “Hands up, don’t shoot” nonsense in which the left cries that Brown had his hands in the air when he was shot; this never happened. The truth is that after beating the officer bloody, Brown tried to run away, then decided to turn around and finish the job. Brown was charging the officer with his head down when Officer Wilson shot him in the top of the skull, which was aimed at him like a mad bull on a charge.

The Jussie Smollett hoax is the most current example of why we need to view with at least some skepticism any charges of racial attacks, but more importantly, hold those who file false reports as accountable as the law allows. He singlehandedly brought race relations back forty years and the fact that this man is walking around free should outrage all true victims of hate crimes. However, as a country we chose instead to remain silent.
